The President and some members of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord met, Saturday, Khalifa Haftar and discussed ways to find effective resolution to the war in Benghazi.
The visit is part of many visits carried by Fayez Al-Sarraj to discuss concerns and problems of different parties to the crisis storming the country, to find peaceful solutions in compliance with the Libyan political agreement signed, Last December.
Al-Sarraj is working on realistic suggestion to be proposed to the Presidential Council (PC), to issue decisions based on real lives of Libyans, which is required by the necessities of compatibility.
From his side, the vice president of the PC, Ahmed Mitig, said that Al-Sarraj’s visit to Haftar is a personal issue, to only express his views, not the view of the whole PC. He added that such visits should be discussed first inside the PC.
Mitig said in a statement that the PC communicated with Al-Sarraj, but the later, he didn’t tell them about his intention to meet Haftar.
