The delegation of the House of Representatives (HoR) arrived in Ethiopia on Friday to take part in the 26th African Summit scheduled to start on Saturday.
The second chief deputy of the HoR, Ehmeed Homa, headed the delegation that included representatives, Abdulsalam Mohamed Abdulsalam, Almahdy Masood Emhmd, and manager of presidential affairs office, Awad Al-Fetori.
They were welcomed by the Libyan ambassador in Ethiopia and the Ethiopian chief of ceremonies office.
On the margins of the summit, the Sudanese Foreign Minister, Ibrahim Ghandour, welcomed the progress made in Libya, calling for accelerating the formation of the Government of National Accord (GNA) and supporting Libya’s efforts in fighting terrorism groups.
He also welcomed the resolutions reached by the international communication committee on Thursday that reached 11 articles and expressed international community’s strong support for peace and stability in Libya.
Ghandoiur referred that the committee’s outputs are in line with the Political Agreement reached by the United Nations intermediation. It demanded forming the GNA swiftly, fighting terrorism, banning the spread of the terrorist organization and uniting regional and international efforts to reach peace in Libya.
