Constitutional Drafting Assembly resumes work


Rapporteur of working committee in the Constitutional Drafting Assembly (CDA) said that the committee reached consensus on the form of state, type of regime, the capital and the whereabouts of sovereign headquarters.

Nadia Omran said that these items were endorsed before amending the constitutional draft. The committee had resumed its work on January 24th after halting that lasted for 4 days, she added.

The committee ended work on chapters of the judiciary, the constitutional court, rights and liberties, form of the state and regime, and is about discussing the local governing.

The drafting committee derived from the work committee formed of Ebtisam Ebhih, Al-Hady Bo-Hamra and Mohamed Habib endorsed the final text reached in work committee.
