America has welcomed the announcement of the Government of National Accord (GNA) in Libya, while stressing its commitment to provide political, technical, economic, and security support, especially fighting terrorism for the new government.
In a statement late on Tuesday, the foreign ministry spokesperson, john Kirby, considered the announcement as a remarkable step on the road of peace and stability in Libya.
Kirby called on all Libyans to move towards implementing the Political Agreement. He stressed that the international community is ready to aid the new government in all economic, political, and humanitarian challenges ahead of it.
The Presidency Council has announced the formation of the Government of National Accord. it now waits for the endorsement of the House of Representatives (HoR).
