Sudan security and intelligence authority manager, Mohamed Aata, said that the Sudanese lands won’t be used by Islamic State group (IS) to cross to Libya.
Some media reports said that the Sudanese youth who travelled to fight for the IS in Libya were killed. Officials refused to comment on Sudanese’ joining IS in Libya.
Reports added that private college students who travelled from Khartoum to Turkey are believed to join extremists in Syria and have foreign passports.
Aata accused insurgents fighting the government in Darfur of fighting in Libya. “We want peace and stability for Libya. We don’t want insurgents to go to Libya or come back from there to ruin Darfur’s peace”, he added.
