The head of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Fabrizio Chiquito said that the new Government of National Accord (GNA) agenda is full of “huge challenges”, expressing his hopes that “the government would be crucial reference for the Libyan people”.
Chiquito added “the announcement of the new Government of National Accord should be positively evaluated. The matter implies huge contribution from the United Nations envoy, Martin Kobler, and the Italian Government and the Prime Minister, Paulo Gentiloni”.
The head of Defense Committee in the Senate, Nicola Latorre, considered the announcement as “the first decisive step to overcome the Libyan crisis”.
“The announcement of the unity government is the beginning of new phase in Libya. I hope that the government would soon be endorsed by the House of Representatives (HoR0 to start indispensable stability”, Chiquito said.
The Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord announced the configuration of the new government consists of 32 ministers. The government list is put in front of the HoR to be endorsed.
