LAB freezes accounts of companies and individuals


Libyan Audit Bureau (LAB), headed by Khaled Ahmed Shakshak, issued decision to freeze bank accounts for companies and individuals accused of corruption, falsification of documents and smuggling of foreign currency.

The decision, No.14, said that the accounts of individuals at formal bodies and ordinary personals will be blocked at all mentioned banks in Libya, for committing crimes affected public property and state economy.

The decision freezes bank accounts of 38 companies specialized at importing and manufacture of construction materials, food, medicine, electrical and electronic materials, furniture, stationery and paper industries and clothing, beside bank accounts for 62 individual working at the same fields.

The Audit Bureau informed all banks working inside Libya to take required actions to implement the decision.
