The British ambassador to Libya, Peter Millett has welcomed the formation of the security committee by the Presidential Council to oversee securing the capital Tripoli and other cities.
Millett noted on Friday that forming the committee has “vital role in bringing security to Tripoli and across Libya”.
He reiterated that the United Kingdom, along with the international community, is ready to respond to the demands of the Government of National Accord (GNA) to aid providing a secured future for Libyans.
Millett denounced the efforts of who want to obstruct the political agreement.
The Presidential Council has ordered the formation of the Interim Security Committee (ISC), as stipulated in the Political Agreement signed in Skhirat on December 17th.
