Al-Sarraj visits Gulf countries after Turkey

The head of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj, has finished an official visit to Turkey in which he met his counterpart, Ahmet Davutoglu, and the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, in an effort to remind the international community of its commitments to Libya.

LIBYAPROSPECT received an official statement was issued by the media office of the Presidential Council on Monday explained that the visit by Al-Sarraj aimed at holding bilateral talks for exchanging benefits between the both nations “without interferences and with respect of each party’s privacy and internal affairs”.

Al-Sarraj asserted that the communication with the outer world, in parallel with the communication with national parties, is to remind the world of its commitments to Libya to accelerate executing their promises to help Libya.

“Reaching the best way to execute the Political Agreement will end the civil war and chaos and will unite Libyans’ efforts to enter the fight of rebuilding the nation of institutions and law and fight terrorism. All will be achieved through military whose personnel are regular forces and rebels through the professional integration in accordance with the security arrangements agreed upon,” Al-Sarraj stated.

Al-Sarraj called on all parties to support the Presidential Council to help building the security institution of the united sovereign Libya.

The members of the House of Representatives (HoR) tend to not holding a session to accredit the Political Agreement since convention failed to happen several times.

Al-Mokhtar Al-Araby reported that it is planned for the session to be held after the formation of the government, then the HoR will grant it, according to the agreed upon basis.

Sources said that Al-Sarraj is planning for a tour in the Gulf area and continuing talks with Arab and western countries to inform them of what was achieved of the Political Agreement on political and security fields.
