The Presidential Council (PC) denounced in a statement the attacks by the Islamic State group (IS) in Benghazi and other Libyan spots, stressing the importance of unity “as the enemy chooses the open war”.
The announcement denounced the attack on Benghazi power station and cement factory and the displaced camp for Tawerghans.
The PC believed these attacks as a “part of a plan to defeat the Libyans to accept the dark rule by damaging their infrastructure, killing youth and intimidation”.
The PC hoped for lifting arms embargo on arming the military.
It stressed the urgency of ending the divisions and achieving unity amongst Libyans and within the Presidential Council. It hailed “the heroic role of the military in fighting terrorism and restoring stability”.
