The head of the Libyan Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj, assured the Italian Foreign Minister on him, denying the news about being subjected to assassination trials in his way from Zliten last week end.
The Italian Foreign Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, reported to Al-Sarraj, through a phone call on Saturday, his full support for the performance of the Presidential Council.
Gentiloni expressed condolences to Al-Sarraj on his reported assassination trial late on Friday, which Al-Sarraj denied.
Al-Sarraj explained to Gentiloni that his motorcade only came out late and its program changed due to lack of security on the road between Misrata and Zliten.
On Friday, Al-Sarraj moved to Zliten to express condolences to the families of the victims of Zliten police center attack of January 7th, which claimed by Islamic State grou (IS).
Gentiloni stressed the necessity of accelerating forming the Government of National Accord to address the fight against the IS and rebuilding Libya.
