The Italian Foreign Ministry announced that a meeting about Libya will be held on 19 January, with the attendance of the representatives from countries that participated in Rome conference last Month.
The announcement came after phone calls between the Italian Foreign Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, and his counter parts, the Algerian Abdel Qader Messahel, the Egyptian Sameh Shoukry, the Qatari Khaled Bin Alteia and the Turkish Mouloud Oglu, according to a statement from the Italian Foreign Ministry.
All ministers expressed their strong condemnation for terrorist attacks and acts occurred recently in Libya, and renewed their commitment to support the Government of National Accord (GNA) emanated from Skhirat political dialogue and United Nations resolution No. 2259.
All ministers stressed that stability in Libya contributes effectively in the fight against the Islamic State group (IS).
