Residential project for the displaced in Benghazi

The minister of the local governance in the Interim Government, Mohamed Al-Farouk Al-Mahdy, has decided to allocate 14.000 hectares land in Benghazi to build a residential compound for the displaced families.

The project features 400 to 500 residential unit, the land was bought from an individual in Sloug municipality, the ministry’s spokeswoman, Entisar Mohamed, told the Libyan news agency.

According to Mohamed, the ministry is trying to release the crisis of the displaced families in Benghazi. The decision was taken after meeting with the Benghazi municipality.
