Bouteflika confirms the need to secure borders with Libya

Bouteflika orders the circulation of security alert measures along all desert - Internet

Algerian army command announced maximum security alert along the borders with Libya, to keep up with security changes and situations inside Libya that witness rounds of armed conflict.

According to Algerian newspapers, the president of Algeria and the National Defense Minister and supreme commander of the armed forces, Abdel Aziz Bouteflika, confirmed, during minor ministerial meeting, the need to tighten security measures along land borders with Mali, Niger and Libya due to the internal armed conflict.

Also Bouteflika ordered the circulation of security alert measures along all desert rugged roads and roads leading to border populated areas such Ein Qezam, Tenzawteen, Bourj Baji Mukhtar, Timyawee , Debdab, Bin Qasha in Alwady provenience to thwart any illegal infiltration attempt to Algeria.
