Kobler and Serra visit Al-Baida and Tripoli

Abusahmain will ask Kobler and Serra about the future of Haftar - Internet

The manager of the United Nations Support Mission to Libya, Nader Darweesh, said that the UN envoy, Martin Kobler, and General Paulo Serra are visiting Al-Baida city, Thursday, then Tripoli on the first of January.

He asked the president of the General National Congress (GNC), Nuri Abusahmain, in a message to define place and date to meet Kobler and Serra.

Kobler intends to visit Libya during the coming days with General Serra to hold discussions with the main interlocutors in the political agreement, they are visiting Al-Baida, Thursday then Tripoli on the first of Jan.

Member of the Political Committee in the GNC said that Abusahmain will ask for clarifications from Kobler about the future of Khalifa Haftar in the wake of political accord signed in Skhirat.

The member of the GNC, Abdul-Fattah Burwag, said that the GNC will ask the UN representative to include some amendments to the political agreement about the legislative balance between the House of Representatives (HoR) and the State Council.

From another side, the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord met, Wednesday, in Tunisia to discuss the internal list organizing the work of the Council, beside holding discussions with parties to the Libyan dialogue about mechanisms of choosing ministers.

Federal current representatives in the House of Representatives asked for equal distribution of ministerial portfolios between the Eastern, Western and Southern regions of Libya, especially sovereign ministries, security and military nature.
