Libyan political activist and prominent member in the conference of Libyan tribes and cities, Abdul Majeed Othman, said that the leader of Ansar Al-Sharia group Abu Eyad, is alive in Libya.
He added, to Al-Sabah newspaper, Monday, that Abu Eyad is the one responsible for training Tunisian fighters coming back from Syria, and he is well protected by leaders of terrorist groups in Sirte, Benghazi and Derna.
Othman stressed that Abu Eyad is inside Sirte in the meantime. He mentioned that the “Islamic Imarats” inside Derna and Sirte control airports, possess “Serine gas” which is chemical component stolen from warehouses of the former Libyan regime in south of Libya.
He added that number of armed Tunisians affiliate to terrorist groups active in Libya exceeds 400 fighters, including children and women, according to field estimates.
