The Omani Foreign Minister, Youssef Bin Alawi, met, Tuesday, the United Nations envoy to Libya, Martin Kobler, who is visiting Muscat.
The two sides discussed the developments in the Libya statues, and the efforts of the UN envoy with the Libyan parties.
Oman is trying to play active diplomatic role to support political rapprochement between any rival parties, at any conflict in the region. Tuesday’s meeting is a step towards promoting the political agreement signed by political parties.
The Libyan rival parties signed on 17 December the political agreement that brokered by the UN, to bypass the current situation that paralyzed the country.
