The President of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, said that his government is determined to fight terrorist groups inside Libya, using the support from neighboring countries, according to statement from Egyptian presidential issued after meeting between Al-Sarraj and the Egyptian President, Abdul Fatah Al-Sisi.
According to the statement, Al-Sarraj stressed the government determination to fight terrorist groups seeking to divide Libya, targeting innocent citizens which badly affects security and stability of Libyans in different cities including Sirte, Derna and Benghazi.
He confirmed the importance of close cooperation with neighboring countries to end that grave threat. Al-Sarraj pointed that “achieving Libya’s sovereignty requires the limitation of military forces within the state institutions only, beside strengthen the role of judiciary and law”.
He pointed that his government’s top priorities would be achieving security, reforming economy and national reconciliation between rival factions.
