The representatives of the East regions in the House of Representatives (HoR) demanded in their meeting with the Prime Minister, Fayez Al-Sarraj to move the National Oil Corporation (NOC) back to Benghazi.

The chief of energy committee in the HoR, Essa Al-Areby, said that the NOC was first founded in Benghazi in 1960s before being moved to Tripoli in 1970, adding that “Benghazi’s right should be restored so that hope is back for its residents after suffering neglect of successive governments”, Al-Wasat website reported.

The Deputy Prime Minister for the east region, Ali Al-Gatrani, discussed with the HoR members and Al-Sarraj the future stages, including arming the Libyan army, equality in positions of sovereign, diplomatic missions, and scholarship amongst the three regions.
