A member of the House of Representatives (HoR), Abdulsalam Noseya, has reminded through his Facebook account of the upcoming steps of the political agreement within the next 90 days.
Noseya noted that after signing the political agreement on 17th December, authority of appointing High Military and Civil Officials had moved to the Prime Ministry.
The Government of National Accord (GNA) is supposed to form a committee to supervise undertaking temporary security measures, while deciding on High Military, civil and security officials within 20 days.
After 30 working days for the GNA, all who prisoned with no legal reasons should be set free or referred to judiciary, in addition to forming a committee to tackle security situation in Benghazi and suggest names for High Military, civil and security officials.
Within 40 days the GNA is planned to propose a bill concerning competences and work systems of the defense and national security council. Putting the transitional justice law to action within 90 days is the last task in the GNA’s 90-day timeline.
The Libyan political agreement was signed in Skhirat on December 17th, allowing forming the Government of National Accord that is hoped to ease the Libyan security and humanitarian situation.
