Notables of Cyrenaica tribes announced their conditions to accept the formation of the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) in a meeting with the chief of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ageela Saleh.
Most participants asserted in their meeting with Ageela , Saturday, that the government must be accredited by the HoR, that should be the sole confidence granter or withdrawer from it, and accepted by all Libyan regions, not only Cyrenaica.
They also added that the Libyan Army and its leaders shouldn’t be approached; in the meantime, no other parallel body should be formed.
Saleh said that some participants refused the government at all, while others demonstrated their conditions for accepting the government resulting from signing the UN-brokered political agreement.
Attendees formed a committee to move to West and South West of Libya to discuss with notables in Fezzan and Tripoli regions their acceptance to the government and its move to Tripoli “after freeing it,” Saleh stated.
Saleh refused the “foreign custody” over the government’s activities. He added that further things will be required from the government once seated.
Before the agreement was signed, Saleh had announced in a joint press conference with the Chief of the General National Congress (GNC), Nuri Abusahmain, in Malta that more time is needed before signing the political agreement and forming the government, he said they refuse steps imposed by abroad.
