Arab Ministers collectively welcome “2259” UN resolution

Arab Foreign Ministers’ council called on all parties to respect and join the political agreement - Internet

The Arab Foreign Ministers, in a meeting in the Arab League, on Thursday, have welcomed the United Nations Security Council resolution number 2259, on Wednesday, in support of the political agreement and the Government of National Accord (GNA).

The foreign ministers’ council called on all parties to respect and join the political agreement signed in the Moroccan city of Skhirat, MENA reported.

The council welcomed all regional and international efforts that will enable the Libyan government to work from the capital, Tripoli. It also hoped that the agreement will end the Libyans’ suffering and achieve their aspirations to security and stability.

The council asserted on all member-states commitments to aid the Libyan government to face challenges when demanded.
