The French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius, expressed in a phone call, support to the Libyan Prime Minister, Fayez Al-Sarraj, his office said.
Fabius asserted Al-Sarraj that France will “at the side of the Libyan people to overcome the challenges confronting the country, starting with the securing of the capital Tripoli, the return of stability and the fight against terrorism”, statement said on Tuesday.
A political agreement was signed last week in Skhirat city, Morocco, that emerged after UN-brokered talks.
France will provide emergency medical aid to Benghazi Medical Center, Fabius added.
Al-Sarraj government received support from several countries around the world including Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Canada, Britain, and Italy.
