The Libya’s representative to the United Nations, Ibrahim Dabashy, said that the Security Council will announce, Tuesday, its recognition of the Government of National Accord (GNA), as the only legitimate authority in Libya.

He mentioned, on his Facebook page, that the Council is convening, Tuesday, to discuss British proposal to penalize those supporting, or committing acts that threaten peace and stability, or undermines the successful of transition in the country, through travel banning and freeze of assets.

According to the accord draft, Dabashy posted on his Facebook page, the decision would call all international parties to cut connections, stop support to any institution or party other than the unity government.

The decision confirms the need to support the unity government in collecting arms from armed militias, protect the unity of sovereign institutions, such as National Oil Corporation and Central Bank Of Libya, and implement sanctions on groups affiliated to Al-Qaeda or Islamic State.
