Al-Sallabi says that Skhirat agreement must be a step towards Libyan-Libyan dialogue - Internet

The member of Board of Trustees at the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Ali Al-Sallabi, called the president of the General National Congress (GNC), Nuri Abusahmain, and the president of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ageela Saleh, to meet the head of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, and contribute to national serious dialogue that leads to Libyan peace conference includes everyone.

He confirmed, in a statement to Quds Press that the signing of Shkirat agreement between Libyan factions is “discretionary that shouldn’t be labeled as national treason”; he added “Skhirat agreement is a political diligence and a result of prolonged dialogues in different countries around the world, it could be start for Libya –Libyan peace conference. I call Nuri Abusahmain and Ageela Saleh to meet Al-Sarraj and work all to resolve disputes, and involve nationals and leaders from Libya Dawn, Dignity and advocates of former regime”.

The representatives of the GNC and the HoR signed, Thursday, agreement to form the Government of National Accord under the auspices of the United Nations in Shkirat near the Moroccan capital, Rabat, both presidents of the HoR and the GNC didn’t attend the signing.

The accord states the formation of nine-member Presidential Council, assigned to form the government, and the State Council acts as the second consultant chamber, within a month from now.

The United Nations envoy, Martin Kobler, said that “the doors are still opened for those who didn’t attend the political signing”.
