The member of the House of Representatives, Abdel Munem Belkour, said that the Government of National Accord (GNA) will initiate its tasks within a month from signing the agreement.
He mentioned, Saturday, that the Presidential Council of GNA begins its tasks in selecting members of the unity government within a month from signing the agreement, saying that “the council has specific time table to select the elements of the consensual government, after that it will be granted the confidence by the House of Representatives (HoR) for the hand over procedures”.
He added that the new government is “culmination for the political agreement in which most of Libyan factions participated, and went through many courses like parties, municipalities, civil society institutions and armed groups”.
Belkour confirmed that the agreement is accepted by wide sector of the Libyans who feel the depth of the crisis, referring that the agreement resolved many issues.
The success of the unity government, according to Belkour, depends on the commitment of each party to the accord, beside local and international support.
