The Justice and Building party has denounced, in a statement on Sunday, a statement of Libya Revolutionaries Operation Room, LROR, in which it warned all political parties from signing agreement on behalf of the official representative of the General National Congress, GNC, Awad Abdulsadek.
“The party denounces the statement of Libya Revolutionaries Operation Room on December 12th that warns the leaders and members of political parties about participation in the Libyan political talks”, the statement read, referring to “a guardian tone upon the Libyans” in LROR’s statement.
LROR has warned the political parties participating in the UN-sponsored talks, on Saturday, from signing any agreement on behalf of the GNC talks’ team chief, Abdulsadek who was assigned officially by the GNC.
LROR’s statement also pointed at “trials to go around the will of the Libyan people through assigning Saleh Al-Makhzoum as a chief to the GNC talks’ team instead of Abdulsadek.
The statement of the Justice and Building party said that Al-Makhzoum represents the GNC members who approve the path of the UN-sponsored Libyan political talks and he stepped up to fill the vacuum caused after the GNC has been halted due to actions of its presidency.
The statement called on all political powers to refuse the “threatening statement” that forms a dangerous turn the LROR holds responsibility for. The statement reminded of the party’s efforts to find an exit from the Libyan crisis and an end to the deep political and social divisions.
The GNC chief, Nuri Abusahmain, has assigned Awad Abdulkhalek to be the official representative of the GNC in Rome international conference and told the Italian Prime Minister that the other GNC members only represent themselves.
