Tunisian President, Albaji Qaed Essibssi met, Friday, the United Nations envoy to Libya, Martin Kobler, who visited Tunisia.
Kobler reviewed with Essibssi the developments of the Libyan political dialogue, and the coming phases to implement the agreement and form the Government of National Accord (GNA).
A statement of Tunisian Presidency said that Essibssi confirmed during the meeting Tunisia’s support for the process brokered by the United Nations, as the only route for any political solution to the Libyan crisis.
He stressed that the resolution in Libya is only political, within Libyan-Libyan process under the auspices of the UN without any foreign intervention.
Essibssi pointed that he communicated with Libyan parties to reach mutual understandings to accelerate the formation of a national unity government capable of confronting the enormous security and economic challenges taking place in Libya.
