France may be considering military role in Libyan against the Islamic State group (IS) in Libya, the French Prime Minister’s statements suggest.
“We are at war, we have an enemy, Daesh (IS), that we must fight and crush in Syria, in Iraq and soon in Libya too”, Manuel Valls said on Friday.
France admitted sending reconnaissance planes over the IS-held areas in Libya last week.
French capital, Paris, was subject to attack by the IS affiliates in November that killed around 130 persons.
Valls suggests that the IS threat in France remains “because we have hundreds, even thousands of young people who have succumbed to radicalization”.
