The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi called for international mobilization to protect Libyan borders and stop flows of arms and recruiters.
He added, during his meeting with the Greek Prime Minister, Alex Tsipras, in Athens, that the failure to act will lead to new risks in the region.
He pointed that “Egypt is doing great efforts to control its borders with Libya, but it needs the assistance of European countries, seeking stability in the region”.
Al-Sisi stressed that the international mobilization is a must to stop weapons smuggling and trade, protect land and sea borders.
From his side, Tsipras said “we should all cooperate more effectively against fascist fundamentalist extremist”, adding “imagine what would happen if Egypt is unstable country?”.
