The president of Al-Nahdha Tunisian movement, Rashed Al-Ghanoshi, said that the signing of the declaration of principles between members of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the General National Congress (GNC) is “source of bride for all Tunisians”.
He added that “Tunisia and Libya share long common history and one fate”. He described the signing as “great event”.
Al-Ghanoshi asked all parties, tribal leaders, revolutionaries factions, and the HoR and the GNC to bless this achievement, he appealed all regional and international powers to support the agreement, as “it is accomplished with pure Libya efforts”.
His statement came on the sideline of “thanks visit” made by members of the HoR and the GNC delegations to his house.
From his side, the head of the GNC team, Awad Abdel Sadeq, said that “they found great support from various political elites inside Tunisia”, calling all Libyans inside and outside Libya to “participate in rallies, Friday, to support that agreement”.
The head of the HoR team, Ibrahim Emaish, expressed his happiness at his meeting with Al-Ghanoshi, stating that “the visit was to get experience”.
He added “Tunisian experiment in national reconciliation is great experience that Libyans should make use of”.
Sources said that Al-Ghanoshi communicated with the members of the HoR and the GNC, since last summer, to organize meetings between both parties, he also made great efforts, in cooperation with two close businessmen to the president Essibssi, to convince both parties to sign the declaration of principles.
