The French authorities arrested, Monday, two persons suspecting of trying to join the Islamic State (IS) in Libya through Tunisia.
According to France Press (AFP), the two French nationals, aged 19 and 20, were prisoned mid November. They were arrested on borders between Libya and Tunisia and extradited in Paris.
Investigations showed that the French extremists were heading to Libya for training before joining the IS in Syria. This came as Libya became save heaven for the IS, that it established base in the city of Sirte, according to Wall Street Journal American newspaper.
French authorities continue the campaigns against extremists, after Paris attacks.
