An explosive material, smuggled from Libya, was used in the attack on a Tunisian presidential vehicle, last Tuesday, the Tunisian Interior Ministry announced.
The ministry elaborated in a statement that the explosive material, used in the attack, reached Tunisia by militants of the Libya branch Islamic State group (IS). It also asserted that the same material was used in explosive belts the authorities seized in 2014, which were also smuggled from Libya.
The IS group has claimed the attack on the Tunisian vehicle which killed 13 persons.
After the attack, Tunisia has decided lately to close down its land borders with Libya for 15 days.
