The United Nations special envoy to Libya, Martin Kobler, has met the Emirati Minister for foreign affairs, Anwar Qarqash, on Thursday, to study the latest developments of the Libyan crisis along with other officials.
Kobler made his short trip to Dubai for further discuss methods to end the Libyan political crisis, UNSMIL announced.
Kobler had visited Qatar last Wednesday to talk about pushing the Libyan political process forward and wrapping the political agreement signed in Skhirat.
The Emirates is accused to be biased to one of the Libyan rivals and was lately connected to the UN last envoy, Bernardino Leon’s Scandal as it wrapped a deal with him to head of an Emirati state-funded diplomatic academy before officially leaving his UN post.
The Emirates is lately accused of committing human rights violations against Libyan businessmen.
