The Tunisian authorities decided, Wednesday, to close land borders with Libya for 15 days after suicidal attack targeting bus of presidential security caused 12 deaths, and adopted by the Islamic State (IS).
A statement of Tunisian Presidency said that the President, Baji Qaid Essebsi, ordered the closure of borders with Libya for 15 days starting, Thursday night, because authorities suspect that the bomber and the explosive belt came from Libya.
The Tunisian Interior Ministry uncovered that the attack was executed by explosive belt “similar to other belts confiscated after being smuggling from Libya”.
The statement mentioned that the Tunisian presidency, following meeting of supreme security council headed by Essebsi, decided to deploy 6 thousand additional elements of the army and police.
The Council also approved taking urgent actions against returning fighters from the hotbeds of tensions in Syria, Libya and Iraq.
