Mass grave for victims uncovered near Tripoli


A mass grave was uncovered in Zliten city, east the capital Tripoli that may contain tens of victims of 2011 revolution that erupted in Libya against Qaddafi rule, media reported.

Locals from Majer area, in Zliten, reported that water torrent uncovered around 15 to 20 bodies in the mass grave on Saturday night, the Libyan News Agency reported.

Ambulances and related authorities were notified and started search operations for more bodies, while more bodies are expected to be underground according to locals.

Witnesses said that bodies are totally decayed, and may belong to rebels who were killed by militias or Qaddafi forces back in 2011.
