Serbia sends security team to free its abducted nationals

The Serbian Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic, said that his country has sent a four-member security team and diplomats to Libya to work for freeing the abducted staff members of the embassy in Sabratha city.

Vucic asserted, in a press conference that the abductees are still alive, and negotiations are underway to set them free.

The Serbian ambassador in Libya confirmed earlier this week that specific criminal groups are behind the incident.

A female communication officer, Sladjana Stankovic, and Jovica Stepic , a male driver were abducted in a fire attack on a convoy that included the ambassador, Oliver Potezica, on the way to Ras Ejder border with Tunisia.
