Abdelmalek demands the resignation of Ageela Saleh

The House of Representatives (HoR) member, Faraj Abdelmalek, demanded the activation of amendment 137 to withdraw confidence from the HoR president Ageela Saleh, in response to “the presidency intransigence and evasion of hearings to come out with a decision about the Government of National Accord (GNA)”.

He regretted, in a statement for media, Monday “the absence of presidential body at this historical moments”. And in case the presidency of the HoR refused to resign, Abdelmalek called to “collective resignation of all members”. He suggested “transferring power to the Government of National Accord (GNA) to oversee early legislative elections”.

It is essential to mention that the HoR session for Monday, was intended to discuss suggestion about the GNA. The session was postponed to next week due to Ageela Saleh’s visit to Saudi Arabia.
