Libya is scheduled to take part in a summit about the migration crisis in the Maltese capital, Valetta, on 11st and 12nd of November.
More than 60 European and African leaders are expected to attend the summit that discusses reasons of migration, achieving security, stability, economic growth and developing and organizing channels of legal migration.
The summit also deals with securing procedures to protect migrants and asylum-seekers, tackling human trafficking in a more effective way, plus discussing cooperation to send migrants back to their home countries.
Deputy Prime Minister, Abdulrahman Alahirash, heads Libya’s delegation that includes deputy foreign minister, Hasan Alsagheer, and staff members of the foreign ministry, the Libyan mission in Europe and the interior ministry.
The media bureau of the Libyan embassy in Malta will follow up the summit and its developments.
