The Libyan Prime Minister of the House of Representatives (HoR), Abdullah Al-Thinni expressed optimism about a near breakthrough in the step of forming the Government of National Accord (GNA).
Al-Thinni affirmed that a breakthrough is ahead after Libyan parties agreed upon the political agreement after intermediations of Libyan notables.
Al-Thinni’s comments came on the margins of the 14thDubai International Airshow.
The Security Council has threatened that Libya Sanctions Committee is prepared to designate those who threaten Libya’s peace, stability and security or who undermine the successful completion of its political transition.
The Council also noted that the Political Agreement for the formation of the Government of National Accord (GNA) that sponsored by the UN, offers a real prospect for resolving the situation.
Member countries welcomed the expressions of support by the Libyan parties and Libyan groups for the Political Agreement and for the formation of the Government of National Accord (GNA).
