Special Forces’ soldier killed in clashes in Benghazi

A Libyan soldier from the Special Forces “Sa’eqa” was killed in clashes with forces of Benghazi Revolutionaries Shura Council.

Speaker of the Special Forces in Benghazi, colonel Melod Alzwai, said that an officer from the Special Forces’ first battalion called Radwan Ben-Hameed was killed in clashes in Abu-Atni axis in Benghazi, after clashes with Benghazi Revolutionaries Shura Council and Ansar Al-Sharia, MENA reported.

Ben-Hameed’s body was taken to Al-Jalaa hospital, as army forces were moving ahead with assistance from the Special Forces in all fighting spots in the city, added Alzwai.

Alzwai explained that air forces are holding air attacks against groupings of Benghazi Revolutionaries Shura Council and Ansar Al-Sharia and caused losses amongst their personnel and machinery.

Eight mortars fell on demonstration in Benghazi near Al-Keesh area on Friday, 9 were killed while 34 were injured. The responsible wasn’t defined yet.
