Islamic State (IS) affiliates in Libya have released a video on social media showing IS militants execute a Tunisian national. IS accused him of spying on behalf of the House of Representatives (HoR) in Tobrok.
The video of the execution, which was released on Monday night, showed a man in an orange jumpsuit and blindfolded, the man was on his knees in front of a group of armed militiamen loyal to IS. The execution took place in the eastern city of Benghazi.
According to AFP, one of the IS militants read out a sentence saying “death to the espionage”, another IS militant then shot him in the head multiple times, the men repeatedly shout “Allahu Akbar”. The Tunisian man is believed to be a baker who resides in the city of Benghazi, he said to be 39 years of age.
